One Piece chapter 1083 is sticking to One Piece‘s normal weekly release schedule. In the US, it will be hitting the Shonen Jump and Manga Plus apps and websites Sunday, May 14th at 11 am Eastern Time and 8 am Pacific Time.
What Happened in One Piece Chapter 1082?
After the reveal that York was the Egghead Island Traitor back in chapter 1078, the manga has jumped around to various important ongoing events happening in the world at large. Chapter 1082 was no exception with this chapter jumping between Navy Headquarters, the Cross Guild, and the Revolutionary Army. The former two sections established that the Cross Guild will be joining the race to find the One Piece. The final section was the most important as it featured the return of Sabo. The chapter ends on a major cliffhanger, with Sabo about to tell Ivankov and Dragon what really happened at the Reverie.
Chapter 1083 Will Likely Return to Egghead Island
Given how One Piece has recently been shifting focus between various parts of the world, there are a variety of different things chapter 1083 could focus on. The most straightforward direction it can go is to show Sabo’s story of what happened at the Reverie. However, Oda has been keeping those events shrouded in mystery for over 150 chapters, so it is likely that he will shift to another perspective instead of revealing it. There aren’t many major factions for him to feature though, as he has already shown glimpses of Shanks, Blackbeard, Sword, the Cross Guild, and the Revolutionaries. With One Piece’s 5 Elders heading to Egghead Island themselves, this leaves no clear plot threads to focus on outside of Egghead, except for maybe Kuma’s attempt to climb the Red Line. This means Chapter 1083 will likely return to covering the events on Egghead Island.
This will be a welcome return for many fans, as it has been a while since One Piece last showed the Straw Hats. Egghead Island itself has various open plot threads the chapter could follow. The Straw Hats are split into groups with each fighting some of the Seraphim, clone versions of the Seven Warlords. Vegapunk is currently confronting York who just revealed herself as a traitor. And Bonny is watching Kuma’s highly anticipated flashback. Any or all of these plot threads could be the focus of chapter 1083, but given all of these are very exciting options, no matter what the chapter covers it is certain to be great.
